I'm stranded at the stream

photo Gerda Louw Gerda Louw is a fine artist, photographer, poet and Middle Eastern dancer that lives in Melkbosstrand, near Cape Town, South Africa.

Starting with pencil sketches from a young age, she later worked in watercolours up until she started painting in oils in 1999.

Her work have been part of several group and solo exhibitions. Selected works have also been included in the TV programmes Noted, Street Journal and Positive. Her art is part of several private collections in South Africa and abroad.

In 2010 she published "Eg", a collection of poems in Afrikaans.

She holds degrees in languages and education.
